An AI-generated video posted First Lady Melania Trump has set off speculation that she may use a hologram at future public events.
Trump, 55, shared the video of her likeness posted by the X (formerly Twitter) account @TrueMELANIAmeme on Wednesday.
It shows a burst of digital pixels as the First Lady appears wearing a dark dress suit and her signature blonde-highlighted hair.
The computer-generated appearance stands in an upscale building that seems to be Trump Tower.
‘Into The Future,’ the post is captioned.
The account is associated with her cryptocurrency venture, $MELANIA, which she launched just before her husband Donald Trump’s return to the White House in January.
The post has many social media users confused at what it means.
Some believe that the first lady will use her AI-generated image to stand in for in future public appearances, including with the president.
One X user posted: ‘OHHHHHHH! You personally don’t have to make appearances with (Donald) anymore if they can hologram you! Got it!’

Another remarked: ‘Wow, rather than tell donnie she has a headache, she could send him this replacement.’
Other X users who are not fans of the Trumps mocked the meme.
‘Amazing, she didn’t take her husband into the future. Oh wait, I wouldn’t take him either,’ wrote a user.

That an increase of more than 12% this week, but it remains down 99% from its high of $13.05 when it debuted in January.
The meme is not the first time that Trump has been accused of using a body double.
Rumors swirled in 2017, during her husband’s first term, that she would use a body double for some public engagements.
Eagle-eyed onlookers pointed out subtle differences in her facial features and gestures.
The First Lady’s meme is not the only one that has generated headlines this week, as her husband has also posted computer-generated content.
President Trump shared an AI-generated video of Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer standing next to House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries wearing a sombrero and a mustache, with mariachi music playing in the background.
‘Look guys, there’s no way to sugarcoat it: nobody likes Democrats anymore,’ says the AI-generated Schumer.
The sombrero memes have also been shared by Republicans that accuse Democrats of allowing the federal government to shutdown over healthcare for undocumented immigrants.
