Storm Amy has brought heavy rain and strong winds to large parts of Britain and Ireland, with a yellow weather warning remaining in place.

There are no scheduled inspections for any of the day’s meetings and the going descriptions have not changed dramatically – if at all.

At Newmarket the going has eased slightly to good, good to soft in places (from good) following 12mm of rain in the last 24 hours. Guests of 45mph are expected in the afternoon, peaking during racing.

Here are the going descriptions at each of the tracks:

Newmarket: Good, good to soft in places (from good)
Ascot: Soft
Redcar: Good to soft, good in places
Curragh: Soft to heavy (straight) and soft, soft to heavy in places (round)
Gowran Park: Yielding to soft
Newcastle: Standard
Wolverhampton: Standard
