The Celebrity Traitors has chosen its first three traitors: Alan Carr, Jonathan Ross, and Cat Burns, but there are already signs that one of them is going to struggle.

Alan Carr is in the firing line as he must complete the impossible task of murdering in plain sight, with a touch on the face of the intended victim. Jonathan Ross and Cat Burns quickly deemed him the best person for the challenge, and if anyone could pull off this tricky task, it’s Carr.

“It’s the touching of the face that is the problem,” he says. “How the hell am I going to do this? What am I going to do?”

It’s risky and Carr could be putting himself in the firing line for banishment if anyone catches him. The comedian has really drawn the short straw here.

Carr and his one-liners made Celebrity Traitors very entertaining. It would be a shame if he were sent home early. Let’s hope luck is on his side. His nerves had been getting to him.

Only Carr would decide he’d love to be a traitor, but change his mind once Claudia Winkleman had selected him! “Oh God, I feel sick,” he told the cameras. “What am I gonna do?”

Carr is going to be great fun, but will the chatty man be able to keep it a secret?

Who are the traitors?

Alan Carr is in good company as he was cherry-picked to be a traitor alongside Jonathan Ross and Cat Burns.

As a talk show host, Ross has the skills to schmooze the celebrities into thinking he’s faithful. As for Burns, with big showbiz personalities in the line-up, I think she could escape suspicion by going under the radar.

No special treatment on Celebrity Traitors

Celebrity Traitors got off to a gruesome start with the stars digging their own graves in the first twisted challenge at the castle.

What’s clear from the get-go is that there will be no special treatment on Celebrity Traitors. Claudia Winkleman asked the celebrities to roll up their sleeves and physically dig to find the shields buried. The first six celebrities to find shields would be protected from murder.

Behind the scenes, the presenter admitted her own surprise at the celebrities digging their own graves on the Celebrity Traitors. “We said, they probably won’t dig in the nicest possible way, they might just turn around, go no it’s alright, and then they really did,” she told Scott Bryan in a Q&A about the first episode. “They played.” I’m shocked too that all the celebrities get stuck in.

The opening episode also featured an action-packed mission in which TV presenter made a massive error, putting her under early suspicion, despite being a faithful.

During a mission that saw the 19 celebrities dragging a giant wooden horse along a course and solving puzzles in a bid to add money to the prize pot, Balding accidentally locked in an answer before the team had a chance to respond.

It immediately made everyone suspicious of the star, putting her at risk of an early elimination.
