On next Sunday morning, Daybreak Alberta will be broadcasting live from Wordfest, a six-day festival of ideas held at the Memorial Park Library in downtown Calgary.

You can get free tickets to the Oct. 19 show here.

During the show, host Paul Karchut will be talking with some of the all-star authors coming through Calgary to take part in this world-class book festival

And we want to hear from you, too.

Our last guests of the morning will be David A Robertson and Cherie Dimaline, two of the authors who contributed to the book “You Were Made For This World.”

The project saw 40 Indigenous writers, artists, activists, athletes, scholars and thinkers come together to celebrate young people.

So we want to hear if there’s one book in particular that shaped your life as a young person. What book did you read that significantly shaped or redirected your life in your youth?

Click on the “play” button below and leave me a message. You don’t have to download anything. After you record, the program will give you the option of choosing whether your response is just for me, or if I can share it publicly next week.

And just for leaving a message, we’ll enter you in a draw for a bag of free books.
