Onetime OPBF titlist Nakano (14-0, 13 KO), 30, has dispatched the majority of his opponents in three rounds or fewer. A trip to American soil this past May saw him truck Pedro Marquez Medina on the Inoue-Cardenas undercard, but this will mark his true first step onto the world stage.
Aleem (22-1, 12 KO) moved to 126 after a tight loss to Sam Goodman in a 2023 final eliminator and has been content to test the waters thus far, beating Derlyn Hernandez-Geraldo on last November’s Davis-Lemos show and Rudy Garcia on that same Inoue undercard in May. Plenty to prove on both sides here.
The main card also sees top super flyweight prospect Tomoya Tsuboi (2-0, 1 KO) take a ballsy step up in class against former champion Carlos Cuadras (44-5-1, 28 KO) and bantamweight Riku Masuda (8-1, 8 KO), whose only pro defeat came to future champion Seiya Tsutsumi in 2023, face 22-year-old Jose Calderon (14-2, 6 KO), who defeated former champion Alexandro Santiago last year and fellow young gun Gohan Rodriguez Garcia this past August.
Great card top to bottom. Desperately hoping American viewers will have some way to watch it.
