We all go through good and bad spells in this betting game. Unfortunately, I’m in the middle of one of the bad ones, with winners proving hard to come by – none at all from last week’s column.
Hardly vintage form of late, I admit, and one mate down in the local quipped that if I said it was going to rain, he’d pack the sun cream. A bit harsh, perhaps, and I prefer to describe my recent tipping performance as “character-building”.
