The RedMagic 11 Pro is set to launch on October 17, 2025, as a new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 flagship that’s geared for gaming. Recently, the company shared the design of the phone, and now, it has teased some core gaming features of the device.
Nubia’s RedMagic is about to hold a big launch event in China on October 17, 2025. At this event, the company will introduce its first Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 gaming phone, the 11 Pro. As recently confirmed, it’s also the first smartphone from the brand that features a water-cooling setup.
Now, with more teasers, the company has shared some of the core gaming features of the RedMagic 11 Pro. Just like the predecessors, the SoC of the upcoming phone will be paired with a dedicated gaming chipset, which is the Red Core R4. This chip will complement the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and is said to enhance the gaming performance of the device.
RedMagic also highlights the Cube PowerGame Engine 3.0 of the RedMagic 11 Pro. It’s marketed to enhance the image quality, reduce power consumption, and offer stable FPS during gaming.
Another notable aspect confirmed by the company is that the games will run at a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz and a resolution of up to 2K. This suggests that the RedMagic 11 Pro won’t see a noticeable display upgrade over the 10S Pro. The new teasers also share that the gaming phone will come with a built-in Windows PC game emulator, just like the 10S Pro (ROG Tessen mobile controller curr. $73.49 on Amazon).
They further reveal that Nubia has partnered up with some of the major mobile game developers to ensure that their games run great on the RedMagic 11 Pro. More details about this new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 gaming phone are expected to emerge before the October 17 Chinese launch.
