Manchester United’s international break has been a successful one for most of the players involved.
This includes the often forgotten loanee Enzo Kana-Biyik. Having joined in the summer, Kana-Biyik is spending the season with Lausanne on loan.
Well, Kana-Biyik has been playing for France U19 this weekend and in a 5-3 win over Switzerland, the 18-year-old scored a hat-trick.
This impressive performance came on Kana-Biyik’s debut for the U19 side, likely against some players he will be rubbing shoulders with at Lausanne.
Kana-Biyik hasn’t yet scored a goal for Lausanne on his loan; however, his confidence will be sky high after this international break, and the hat-trick proves he can score.
How Enzo Kana-Biyik has fared on loan at Lausanne
So far, Kana-Biyik has had a slow start at Lausanne, mainly being used as a substitute, although he is still playing fairly frequently.
While not blowing fans away with his performances in Switzerland, Kana-Biyik is a success story, as regular first-team football at the age of 18 can only be a positive.
It also shows Ineos that the pathway between the two clubs works and can be used in the future, with other first-team-ready youngsters.
For Kana-Biyik, he will now hope to start getting goals and proving himself, especially with the confidence scoring three for France will have given him.
