The Little Lever lad entered the Big Brother house after having grown up watching the show with his mum.
The 25-year-old mixed martial arts sportsman and coach joined the show on day two as part of a new staggered launch format, but was evicted last night.
The personal trainer from Bolton spoke to hosts Will Best and AJ Odudu after leaving and said: “I’m feeling good. It’s good to be out.
“If you stay in, you’re with everyone again, like your adoptive family.
“If not, you’re seeing everyone, seeing different faces.”
Now, his family has told The Bolton News that the Wanderers fan feels he has ‘made friends for life’ in the house, including with the group coined ‘the Wolf Pack’.
Cameron’s sister, Savannah, said: “It was just nice to see him in there, you know, because that is genuinely his personality.
“He’s bubbly, he’s funny, he’s down to earth, he’s a proud Bolton lad.
“He’s absolutely over the moon about how much support he’s got, especially local support from Bolton.
“And just anyone who’s been supporting him and saying positive things about him.
“He’s made a couple of good friends, lifelong friends.
“He said he can’t wait for them to get out so he can speak to them.”
Savannah, a personal trainer, said that one of the first things he asked about when he spoke to his family was how Bolton Wanderers were performing, and how his fellow MMA friends had got on.
She said: “Immediately, he’s checking all the Bolton stories, making sure everyone’s doing well.
“He’s a typical, proud Bolton lad, and just like we’re just all absolutely over the moon that he’s gone on national TV, he’s been nothing but himself.
“We said to him, ‘we’d rather you do two and a half weeks being yourself and let the people see you for who you are, a funny Bolton lad, with confidence and charisma, rather than game playing and pretending to someone you’re not’.”
“We all love him for who he is.
“We’re all just all proud of him for being himself and representing Bolton in a positive way, and just showing that Bolton is funny.
“He’s full of positive energy and yeah, we’re just really, really proud of him, honestly.”
Savannah added that the family hope his time on the show helps provide more opportunities for him, and that they enjoyed seeing how ‘natural’ he found the world of showbiz.
