How do you make less processed and family friendly food without spending too much on cooking? What are some chef’s tips? And how do you make healthy meals tasty?

Lou Robbie AKA Little Lou Cooks, chef and author of Make and Freeze: The ultimate guide to family-friendly meal prep, joins me on this week’s episode of The Real Health podcast.

I wanted to start by asking the chef when her breakout moment came, as she now has a massive following of nine hundred and ten thousand followers on Instagram.

“I had 16,000 followers and I was happy out. This was amazing to get over 10,000 followers, I think it’s a real achievement and then I shared a reel and that went viral. And the thing was my page just blew up from there.”

Given that Lou Robbie is a trained chef, I asked her if people who read the book need to have a chef’s knowledge.

“I am a trained chef, but none of the things that I do are that chef-y in the book or on social media. There is nothing in the book that would require the reader to be a chef or have to do something complicated, this book is simply for people who want to cook more at home.”
