Ludlow Brewery put on on Wednesday, October 8, marking the 7th year of the “celebrated” partnership with the racecourse, and the first meet of the racing season.
The family-run brewery said that sponsoring the race day is a chance to bring together the local community, valued customers, and the “many landlords” who serve its beers across the region.
This year’s event promised “top-class” racing and “exclusive” hospitality in the Windsor Marquee, designed to provide a networking opportunity to mingle with landlords.
A record number of racegoers bought advance Ludlow Brewery premier badges, enjoying an exclusive discount plus a free drink in the marquee.
Simon Sherwood, clerk of the course at Ludlow Racecourse, said it had been “fabulous to work alongside a local company.”
“Ludlow Brewery Day draws bigger crowds every year.
“The lack of rain was against the racing, but we did our utmost to water in the run-up to the day. An enjoyable day was had by all.”
“We were delighted to return for our seventh race day,” said Gary Walters, managing director of Ludlow Brewery.
“It’s always a highlight in our calendar – the perfect blend of sport, socialising, and showcasing our beers to the people who help us bring them to pubs across the region.
“We are delighted to have this partnership with Ludlow Racecourse to give us the opportunity to celebrate our strong pub partnerships and to showcase our beers – brewed within two miles – to racegoers.
“We’d like to express our deepest thanks to Ludlow Racecourse and to everyone who attended.”
