Scotty T has reportedly had a baby with a Newcastle University student, with a rep for the Geordie Shore star confirming that he has become a dad. And a source has claimed that his mum is ‘over the moon’ at the news.

One of the most well known stars to appear on the Newcastle shot TV show, Scotty, real name Scott Timlin, joined the cast a few series in, having been signed up to film alongside originals like Vicky Pattison, Gaz Beadle and Charlotte Crosby. He quickly found himself at the centre of the action as he became a firm fan favourite on the show.

He has also had success away from the Geordie Shore house, with him touring book shops around the country to sign copies of his autobiography A Shore Thing, released months after he followed in co-star Charlotte’s footsteps by winning Celebrity Big Brother. A few years later he joined Charlotte as a co-host on MTV’s Just Tattoo of Us, as well as starring as an adult pantomime.

His baby news was confirmed by a rep early on Wednesday afternoon, with it also being revealed that, while he was there for the birth of his son at a hospital in Newcastle, he and the mother, who is in her early 20s and met him on a night out, aren’t a couple. An insider told The Sun: ‘I know his mother and she’s a really lovely person, but he is a bit of a wild card. His mum would just be happy that this would be the thing that would settle him down and get his head screwed on.”

Having been missing in action from Geordie Shore for a few years, Scotty T made a return to the show to film overseas last year.
