Hollyoaks spoilers for the latest episode to air on E4 and available on Channel 4’s streaming service follow.
It’s the last episode of Hollyoaks before the 30th anniversary week, and the soap has been busy setting up some mortal peril for multiple characters… (deaths have been teased).
At the start of the latest instalment, Clare Devine learned from her recent hook-up with Peri Lomax (who she was just using for information) that the teens — Lucas Hay, Dillon Ray, Frankie Osborne and Vicky Grant — are away in Liverpool next week and missing Tony and Diane Hutchinson’s wedding.

She could barely disguise her annoyance, as she planned to get her revenge on them at the ceremony. Visiting Jez at the storage container where he’s been hiding out, she told him that the plan was now off, but he didn’t agree.

“You’re not really thinking this through,” he said. “If you really want to punish those kids and make them suffer, there’s other ways of doing it. Their families will all be at the wedding — Darren, Nancy, Misbah — you see? This is much better.
“By this time tomorrow, you will have taught those poor, grief-stricken orphans a lesson they will never forget.”
Later on, Clare bumped into her former love interest Dodger Savage (who was just using her for information) in the club, and he spoke about how he feels responsible for all of Jez’s victims after letting the serial killer slip through his fingers.
“I keep failing and it hurts the people I love,” he said. “Family. Friends. And the kids. Tori. I want to be the hero in their story, not the villain.”

His words seems to get through to her, as Clare mused about how perceptive and innocent Tori is. They agreed that she needs to be protected “at all costs”.
Her newly-developed conscience led her back to Jez’s hideout, where she told him that she wants to do the right thing for Tori.
“It’s too late for that,” Jez said, which caused Clare to attack her fellow villain. After setting off a gas cannister, Clare locked Jez up in the container and left him to die.
Can she stop Jez’s plan and save the wedding attendees?
Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
