The 2025 edition of the Chrono des Nations marks the end of the European road cycling season, and once again brings some of the world’s top time trial specialists to Les Herbiers, in France’s Vendée region. As tradition dictates, the event will feature a packed schedule of races across all age categories – from elite professionals to juniors and cadets – with riders racing against the clock on a course that has become a late-season proving ground for time trial form. Below, you’ll find the full start list and order for the elite men and women in this year’s edition.
This year’s parcours sticks closely to the tried-and-tested layout in and around Les Herbiers. The elite men will face a 44.87 km course, while the elite women will race 27.23 km. Though the route is not mountainous, it is far from flat, with a mix of rolling terrain, exposed sections vulnerable to crosswinds, and technical corners that demand both power and precision. The time trial is known for suiting strong riders with an ability to maintain a high, steady tempo over long stretches of open road – but those who underestimate the sharper rises and rhythm disruptions can easily see their times slip away.
Recent History: A Test of SpecialistsOver the past few years, the Chrono des Nations has served as a late-season showcase for both established specialists and emerging talents. In 2022, Switzerland’s Stefan Küng took a narrow win over World Champion Tobias Foss, while Ellen van Dijk dominated the women’s field. The 2023 edition saw British prodigy Joshua Tarling assert himself with a powerful ride against the likes of Remco Evenepoel, while Olympic champion Anna Kiesenhofer delivered a surprise victory in the women’s race.In 2024, Küng returned to the top step of the podium with a typically consistent ride, fending off Jay Vine by just four seconds. On the women’s side, Grace Brown produced a commanding farewell performance in her final professional race, putting nearly a minute into the field.Start Times & Order – Chrono des Nations 2025 Men’s EliteStart TimeBib No.Last NameFirst NameTeamNationality14:1728HirschbichlerJohannesAustrian National TeamAustria14:1927AhlssonJacobMotala AIF ContinentalSweden14:2126Peyroton-DartetThomasEuroCyclingTrips – CCNFrance14:2325MiltiadisAndreasRoojai Cycling TeamCyprus14:2524De GendtAiméCofidisBelgium14:2723UriarteDiegoEquipo Kern PharmaSpain14:2922JeanniereEmilienTeam TotalEnergiesFrance14:3121KelemenPetrTudor Pro Cycling TeamCzech Republic14:3320HayterLeoVoster ATS TeamGreat Britain14:3519BerradeUrkoEquipo Kern PharmaSpain14:3718ThierryPierreArkéa – B&B HotelsFrance14:3917RenardAlexisCofidisFrance14:4116MikutisAivarasTudor Pro Cycling TeamLithuania14:4315HeidemannMiguelREMBErad-net14:4514LatourPierreTeam TotalEnergiesFrance14:4713KnightOliverCofidisGreat Britain14:4912HerregodtsRuneUAE Team Emirates – XRGBelgium14:5111BevortCarl-FrederikUno-X MobilityDenmark14:5310BrunelAlexysTeam TotalEnergiesFrance14:559SuterJoelTudor Pro Cycling TeamSwitzerland14:578AzparrenXabier MikelQ36.5 Pro Cycling TeamSpain14:597GernalecThibaultArkéa – B&B HotelsFrance15:016BjergMikkelUAE Team Emirates – XRGDenmark15:035WaerenskjoldSorenUno-X MobilityNorway15:054CavagnaRémiGroupama – FDJFrance15:073TarlingJoshuaINEOS GrenadiersGreat Britain15:092VineJayUAE Team Emirates – XRGAustralia15:111KüngStefanGroupama – FDJSwitzerlandStart Times & Order – Chrono des Nations 2025 Women’s Elite & U23Start TimeBib No.Last NameFirst NameTeamNationality13:4528Rouat*IlonaBreizh LadiesFrance13:4627Kiekens*CléoDD Group Pro Cycling TeamBelgium13:4726Mahieu*LéonieLanester Women MorbihanFrance13:4825LeeLucyDAS-HutchinsonGreat Britain13:4924Vernezoul*YleaTeam AvesnoisFrance13:5023Dupin*MélanieTeam Elles – Groupama – Pays de LoireFrance13:5122Wahlström*EllaCJ O’Shea RacingSweden13:5221Lavenu*NinaAG Insurance – Soudal U23France13:5320KononenkoValeriiaUkrainian National TeamUkraine13:5419Denieul*JoséphineBreizh LadiesFrance13:5518BertoldIsabellaTeam Farto – KirootGermany13:5617AllardCharlotteMégamo Vosges TeamFrance13:5716Siegers*EmmaAG Insurance – Soudal U23Belgium13:5815DemayCoralieFDJ SuezFrance13:5914RozlapaDanaLatvian National TeamLatvia14:0013ClaesLotteArkéa – B&B Hotels WomenBelgium14:0112Sharp*IzzyLidl – TrekGreat Britain14:0211DijkstraAnnekeVolkerWessels Cycling TeamNetherlands14:0310Le NetMarieFDJ SuezFrance14:049Muller*SolèneMégamo Vosges TeamFrance14:058De Schepper*LoreAG Insurance – Soudal TeamBelgium14:067EhrlichEmilyVirginia’s Blue Ridge – TWENTY24United States14:076KiesenhoferAnnaAustrian National TeamAustria14:085VigiliaAlessiaFDJ SuezItaly14:094BiriukovaYuliiaLaboral Kutxa – Fundación EuskadiUkraine14:103GoossensMartheAG Insurance – Soudal TeamBelgium14:112ChapmanBrodieUAE Team ADQAustralia14:121Van DijkEllenLidl – TrekNetherlands
