Just over two decades after the team’s foundation, Arkéa-B&B Hotels is shutting down. The French WorldTeam, which has proudly represented the vibrant Breton cycling scene on the international stage since its inception, has been desperately seeking new partners to replace its outgoing title sponsors, but team boss Emmanuel Hubert was unable to find what he was looking for by the time the UCI’s deadline for applications for 2026 came and went on Wednesday.

Although the team has not yet released any official statements regarding its imminent collapse, L’Equipe reports that Hubert has told the team that it is shutting its doors. The Tour of Guangxi, currently underway, and Sunday’s Chrono des Nations will be the final races for the organization.

As L’Equipe notes, the organization counts about 150 people as employees across its men’s, women’s, and development teams.
