Former England head coach Steve McNamara has joined Warrington Wolves as part of Sam Burgess’ coaching team.
McNamara, 54, was most recently in charge of fellow Super League club Catalans Dragons until his departure in May.
“The club has huge potential, especially with the number of talented young players coming through,” he told the club’s website., external
“My aim is to bring my experience to help the group keep improving and to build consistency in how we train, prepare and perform.”
He will be part of Warrington’s set-up for 2026 as they try to improve upon their disappointing eighth-placed finish this year, having finished third in Burgess’ first season in charge.
