A road was cordoned off this evening after a car crashed and flipped onto its roof. Merseyside Police were called to Cavendish Drive in Walton at around 7.20pm today, Friday, October 17 following reports of a crash.

Police arrived to find one car, a white Renault Arkana Estate, had collided with the central reservation barrier and overturned. The vehicle’s occupants were out of the vehicle by the time police arrived and did not sustain any serious injuries, a force incident manager confirmed.

An ambulance attended to “check over” the driver and passengers, police said.

Photographs from the scene show the vehicle has smashed through the front fence of a nearby property. The car has sustained extensive damage, including a detached wheel and a shattered windscreen.
