Pupils at a school in Croxley Green got to experience a special F1-themed days thanks to a visit from Red Bull Racing.
Year 5 students at Yorke Mead Primary School welcomed Oracle Red Bull Racing, in partnership with STEMX, for two days of workshops.
The school hall was transformed with a custom-built racetrack where children designed, built and raced their own miniature cars, while also exploring aerodynamics and car design.

There was also a media studio set up which allowed pupils to take on the roles of presenters, interviewing classmates after their races using professional video equipment
Formula One world champion Max Verstappen even made an appearance in the form of a life-sized cut out, while career talks allowed children to learn about the exciting career pathways in motorsport.

A Year 5 pupil described it as “one of the best experiences I’ve ever had”, while headteacher Lucille Pollard was keen to thank Red Bull Racing for its visit.
“We are incredibly grateful to Oracle Red Bull Racing and STEMX for bringing this opportunity to our pupils,” she said.
“Experiences like this light a spark that can shape future ambitions.”
