The youngest son of Geordie Shore star Aaron Chalmers has been back in hospital. Aaron’s three-year-old boy Oakley has Apert Syndome – a genetic disorder which causes fusion of the skull, hands and feet bones
His ex-Talia Oatway regularly gives her fans updates on their son’s health. This week, she told her followers that she was left “petrified” when Oakley had to go back to hospital.
Mirror Online reports how Talia told fans: “I know I haven’t been on it today. Um, so Oakley had a gemranosec earlier this morning to have a CT scans on his brain just to basically out rule a lot of stuff for the sickness.
“Um, so he had that and then had to wait obviously for the neurosurgeons to look at the scans. I mean I’ve still got no answers but they did tell me some bits that’s going on with Oakley’s brain which obviously has petrified me.
“Um, but I’m waiting until the surgeons at Newcastle obviously speak to the surgeons in Liverpool and then I’ll have more of an understanding about the situation that Oakley is in. Um, but yeah it’s just been a really s*** day, very emotional day.”

Talia previously shared a post in the summer about Oakley, which got fans worrying. At the time, she wrote: “Oakley had the worst sickness last night, from 11ish till about 5am. Bath after bath, bed change after bed change. I feel so sorry for him.
“The fundo surgery he’s due to have soon (after his hands) is so needed. It will stop him being sick completely. Currently on a meds run for him.”
Aaron, 38, and Talia, who are also parents to Romeo and Maddox, welcomed their son Oakley into the world in February 2022. They become a couple in 2017 but went their separate ways after Oakley was born.
Earlier this year, Aaron spoke about how he was struggling after the birth of his son. He said that bare-knuckle boxing saved him from a “slippery slope” of drinking to deal with personal issues.
He said: “And then leading into 2024, my son… As I was trying to get myself back on the straight and narrow, my son went into hospital. It was meant to be a routine head surgery, and he was in a coma and he was in Liverpool fighting for his life for eight weeks, and I just didn’t deal with it.
“I was just drinking, the only way to deal with losing my cousin and then that a couple of months after, I was just drinking. It came to August, I was still in limbo, I was not doing anything. I was in limbo. I was trying to go in the gym and then I was getting to the weekend and I was drinking. I was having blow-outs.”
