Celtic supporters continued their protests against the board on Sunday at Dens Park.
Brendan Rodgers watched Celtic suffer a 2-0 defeat to Dundee, with both goals coming in the first half and securing a deserved three points for Steven Pressley’s men.
A minute into the game, the Celtic fans behind Kasper Schmeichel’s goal began throwing tennis balls onto the pitch.
That resulted in there being a delay, with players from both sides, including stewards, clearing up the balls that were thrown onto the pitch.
Whilst the Celtic fans made their point, it didn’t please Chris Sutton.

When it comes to being critical of the Celtic board, as well as fan protests, Sutton has continually been on the side of the supporters.
But the former striker wasn’t pleased with what he was seeing at Dens Park, as he labelled it all as ‘idiotic.’
Sutton even noted how Schmeichel was ‘frustrated’ at the fans’ actions, including how he had to clear his penalty box, as he told Sky Sports Football (19/10/25).
“I just think it’s idiotic,” said Sutton. “I don’t understand it. The supporters have an issue with the board; they are entitled to protest, but not in this manner.
“Don’t ruin football matches. You can see the frustration from Kasper Schmeichel. It’s disruptive to see from a player.”
Celtic board present at Dens Park
The Celtic Fans Collective recently met with the board, but it didn’t seem to help matters; in fact, it probably made matters worse.
One man who was at that meeting was Michael Nicholson, and he was also present at Dens Park.
The Sky cameras did pan towards Nicholson in the stands, as he looked on and showcased no emotion to the protests and chants of ‘sack the board.’
