A total of nine players in the world have lost their first Test, ODI and T20I matches as captain. India’s Shubman Gill, who made his ODI captaincy debut on Sunday (October 19) in Perth against Australia, is the latest one to join the list. The nine players include two each from India and New Zealand and one each from Sri Lanka, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Pakistan and the West Indies.
