Adele stepped out for a rare public appearance after wrapping her Las Vegas residency nearly a year ago.
The 37-year-old “Easy on Me” superstar wrapped her residency in Sin City nearly a year ago on Nov. 24, 2024. Since then, she’s kept a low profile and has rarely been seen since, beyond a handful of NBA game date nights with partner Rich Paul in February and April.
However, over the weekend Adele headed down to Travis County, Texas to attend the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix. While she was there, she visited the pit of the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team and posed for a photo with Formula One racers George Russell and Andrea Kimi Antonelli.
The team shared the picture on Instagram, simply captioning it “Iconic” and tagging the singer.
In the snapshot, Adele is chicly dressed in all black, pairing a jacket with a cinched waist with wide-legged pants. A pair of sunglasses held her hair back from her face. Antonelli had an arm wrapped around her waist as the trio smiled for the camera.
“Woah diva met divaa??” one fan in the comments section enthused. Another fan noted how excited Russell appeared to be about the photo, writing, “George looks like a pure fanboy. Happy for him. 😂”
After opening her Vegas show “Weekends with Adele” in 2022, the show wrapped for good on November 2024.
During her final show, Adele hinted that she would be taking an extended break from the spotlight.
“I will miss you terrible. I don’t know when I’m next going to perform again,” she admitted to fans in the audience for the show. “I’m not doing anything else. I’m actually s—ting myself about what I am going to do. I don’t have any f—ing plans.”
Despite plans to slow down, she stressed that it was not the end, vowing, “Of course, I’ll be back. The only thing I’m good at is singing and things like that. I just don’t know when I want to next come on stage, but I love you.”
She also implied that the residency was to make it easier to parent her 13-year-old son, Angelo.
“To my son, I chose to do a residency maybe because I f—ing hate touring,” she explained during the show. “But I chose to do a residency so I could keep his life normal. And I did do that. But I also wouldn’t change it for the world, but I get to be with him on the weekends now because obviously he can’t always come. So I love you to bits. … Thank you for being patient for me.”
At the time, she also reflected on the show in a post on Instagram, where she wrote, “Well what an adventure! Las Vegas you’ve been so good to me. This residency went on to mirror what 30 was about – lost and broken to healed and thriving! Seems so fitting in the end. The only thing left to do in this case is move on.”

Adele continued, “These 100 shows have been so easy to love. They were all completely different because I got to really be with every single person in the room every night. I’ve loved every single second of it and I am so proud of it! I will miss it terribly, and I will miss YOU all terribly too. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! See you next time 🪐”
The singer’s most recent album 30 arrived in 2021. She hinted at taking a good amount of time between projects while speaking to German outlet ZDF in July, 2024.
“I don’t have any plans for new music, at all,” she said. “I want a big break after this and I think I want to do other creative things, just for a little while.”
While she said that she didn’t enjoy all that came with fame, Adele acknowledged that there were positives, saying, “I love that I get to make music all the time.”
