One of the best things about the first PowerWash Simulator title was how its post-launch DLC leaned into other gaming and general media IPs. You could scrub clean locations and items from Final Fantasy VII Remake or take a trip to Bikini Bottom for a SpongeBob SquarePants expansion.
Now, developer FuturLab has confimed it’ll be doing the same with the recently released PowerWash Simulator 2.
Throughout next year, there’ll be three IP-based DLC packs launching in Q1, Q2, and Q3. The studio doesn’t confirm what those IPs will be, but they’ll be coupled with free Caldera Chronicles jobs. All the IP-based expansions will be paid for.

On top, the overall game will be improved further through extra features, quality-of-life improvements, more community events, and extra pieces of furniture and skins. This all begins in 2026, and between now and then, FuturLab will have “fixes, further optimisations and QOL improvements”. The game releases tomorrow for PS5.
