Bradford Bulls have confirmed yet another Super League signing with a Salford Red Devils player arriving on a lengthy deal.
The Bulls have wasted no time in getting their recruitment underway with Andy Ackers signed in the days leading up to their Super League promotion, whilst former Bradford pair Rowan Milnes and Ethan Ryan have also been signed.
Ryan left Salford to join Oldham late in the 2025 season and one of his former Red Devils teammates has now signed on the dotted line at Odsal with Bradford confirming the addition of Jayden Nikorima.
The playmaker was out of contract with the relegated Red Devils, who face a HMRC hearing next week, but he’s secured his future at Bradford by signing a three-year deal.
It means the Bulls could be running a new half-back pairing in 2026 after the addition of Milnes and Nikorima, who actually did play together at Salford in the round 24 win over Warrington Wolves.
Bradford Bulls sign Jayden Nikorima
The 29-year-old now makes the switch to Odsal after 18 months with Salford, signing for them midway through the 2024 campaign after being released by Catalans Dragons.
He had made nine NRL appearances before his move across to Super League but has played over 60 games in the Queensland and New South Wales Cups.
Not only will he be joining former Salford man Ethan Ryan and ex-Red Devils loanee Rowan Milnes, Nikorima will also link up with his former assistant Kurt Haggerty with Haggerty now head coach of Bradford.
Speaking on his move, Nikorima said: “I am super pumped to be joining the Bulls, they were my dad’s favourite Super League team when I was growing up!
“It’s a really exciting time for the club and I’m looking forward to ripping in, meeting the fans and wearing that Bulls jersey.”
Head coach Haggerty said: “It’s a massive signing for the club, he is a sought after pivot who a lot of teams have been chasing and I am really happy he has chosen to play for Bradford Bulls.
“He is very much a point of difference, he is extremely quick, brave and talented. He fits exactly how I want to play and there is a lot more to Jayden Nikorima I can help him unlock and help him take next step in his career.
“I won’t expect him to play one side, I expect him to play both sides complimenting Rowan, making him flip and play both sides as well so I have two very good half backs -one who can control a game and one who can break open a game.”
Haggerty also added that Bradford had beaten out a number of clubs to Nikorima’s signing, showcasing their pulling power now they’re returned to Super League.
He said: “Numerous clubs have been chasing Jayden and they are big clubs too, so to get him over line shows the weight the badge has in Super League and the journey we are going on, with Jayden being a part of that.”
