Australia and the UK will hold talks between their foreign and defense ministers in Sydney on Friday, with the aim of signing a £20 billion ($27 billion) “treaty” to help build nuclear-powered submarines.

The annual meeting is part of the Australia-United Kingdom Ministerial Consultations (AUKMIN). Australian Defence Minister Richard Marles and Foreign Minister Penny Wong will host UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy and Defence Secretary John Healey. They are due to hold a news conference at Admiralty House on Sydney harbor after their talks.
