Hong Kong China vs Japan XV

Kai Tak Stadium, Hong Kong China, 12:10 BST, 24th October – Watch live here

Preparations for Hong Kong China’s first Men’s Rugby World Cup are underway, starting with the first men’s XV clash at the futuristic Kai Tak Stadium, as Hong Kong China welcome the Japan XV.

This fixture, a part of the memorandum of understanding signed between the two unions, will provide an excellent opportunity for both sides to better understand their squads and the player depth available to them.

Hong Kong China will be without their sevens stars who claimed the Asia Rugby Emirates Sevens Series title last weekend, while the senior Japan side take on Australia in Tokyo, presenting those involved in this fixture a prime opportunity to impress and show their value to their respective head coaches.

Live on RugbyPass TV globally, this match marks the first of three for Hong Kong China in the coming month, with fixtures against the Canberra Brumbies and Portugal also on the horizon, the latter of which could be a crucial opportunity to solidify their world ranking prior to the Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027 draw following the November test window.
