Manchester United continue to be linked with a move for Angelo Stiller and a release clause in his contract makes a deal very possible.
Over the summer transfer window, Manchester United were linked with Angelo Stiller as a potential central midfield target.
Interest extended to Carlos Baleba and Adam Wharton, but ultimately Ineos decided to remain patient and revisit a midfielder in 2026.

Graeme Bailey exclusively told United in Focus that Stiller is on United’s radar as a midfield target.
In positive news for United’s recruitment team, there is a release clause that could potentially make a deal easier to strike.

Earlier this week, journalist Florian Plettenburg reported that Stiller is available for £43m in 2026, but it seems United might even be able to sign the German for even cheaper.
According to Ben Jacobs, Stiller has a release clause valued at £35m (€40m), but Stuttgart could step in to complicate matters.
Speaking on The United Stand, Jacobs said: “The release clause is active in 2026, it’s £35m or €40m.
“The one caveat to that clause is that Stuttgart can buy out the release clause for €2m, then of course he would be more expensive in the market. I’m not expecting anything in January for Stiller and Manchester United.”
Jacobs added: “Some players if they are moving may be prepared to be more patient. The truth is it’s just Manchester United, clubs like Manchester United can be the exception to the rule, we can’t discount certain players who would just say yes blindly because it’s Manchester United and have faith in the long-term project.”
Why Angelo Stiller is perfect fit for Ruben Amorim
During pre-season, Amorim wanted more “pace” in midfield, and he has repeatedly emphasised the need for more athleticism and intensity in his side.
Stiller has been compared to Declan Rice because of his playing style, with the 24-year-old ranking among the best midfielders in Europe for progressive passes.

Not only does Stiller have the ideal characteristics to thrive under Amorim, but he also has experience playing in a 3-4-2-1 formation.
At Stuttgart, Stiller plays as a central midfielder in the same system. It should make adapting to the Premier League and Amorim’s demands much easier.
