Yeah, I’d like one boxing writer admit this has been the worst year for boxing in history. Anybody who has followed the sport knows it.

Turki has gutted the sport, it seemed like a good thing when he first arrived in it.

We got regular GOOD *** fights, now they’re few and far between.

And every single fighter is seemingly waiting to be on the cards, so basically anything in between a Riyadh show is dead…

Agreed. Raskin doesn’t seem to see the irony in lamenting the “rich and powerful get[ting] their way” when in a boxing context that’s exactly what allows superstars like Canelo to avoid fights that we want to see.

The current structure is broken and the established promoters circling the wagons are protecting their

I am so neutral on this “UFC-Ali” controversy. Do I understand that it could be bad? Sure. Of course I do. But I have seen what boxing is and what it is becoming on it’s own and it is ugly. Maybe a bad change will be better than no change at all.
