I’m ambivalent. Maybe if the two can exist side by side there will be more opportunities for talent to be discovered. Boxing’s current (past) system over looks a lot and allows the “stars” to avoid dangerous contenders. The UFC, while not perfect, has been better in that regard over the years.

This has long been the right way to go – boxing has changed the past 20 years.
It used to be all great fighters had to come to American to make their name, their money, and their legacy.
If a guy in Argentina was a good fighter, a promoter in America would pay to bring him here and test his meddle. That’s not the case anymore
