London Broncos have announced their latest signing for 2026, and it comes in the shape of an former NRL half-back.
The club, who have already confirmed deals for NRL stars Reagan Campbell-Gillard and Siliva Havili, are well on their way to building a squad capable of not just competing in the Championship, but winning the division, as they look to earn Super League promotion next time around, following their recent rejection to the competition.
Wakefield Trinity winger Neil Tchamambe was their latest recruit, joining on a season-long loan. Now, their latest addition has been confirmed.
Dean Hawkins has been a man in the Super League headlines this week, following his release from Parramatta Eels. The club confirmed his exit, saying that the 26-year-old would leave the club in order to “pursue an opportunity in the English Super League.” That led us to ponder which top-flight team he would be joining, but in reality, he will playing in the Championship.
The Broncos have got themselves a controlling half-back who likes the ball in his hands, and across 2025 has filled in for injured international stars Mitchell Moses and Dylan Brown for the Eels. He may only have 26 NRL appearances to his name, but he has a ton of experience in the Australian reserve grade, something that will come in very handy next year.
London Broncos extend forward’s contract as rebuild continues
In addition to their new signing, the club, who announced a ‘refreshed identity’ this week that involved a brand-new logo, have also extended the contract of forward Sadiq Adebiyi, who will represent the club for a 10th year, and the third in what is his second stint in the capital.
Making 91 appearances for the Broncos since his debut in 2015, the forward is another member of the rejuvenated Broncos squad that will be hoping for Championship glory in 2026.
