Nottinghamshire’s red-ball captain Haseeb Hameed has signed a new two-year contract at the reigning county champions.

Batsman and one-day skipper Joe Clarke has also put pen to paper, also keeping him at Trent Bridge for the next two years.

Hameed, 28, joined after leaving home county Lancashire in 2019 and has scored more than 5,000 first-class runs, including 13 centuries, during his time at Nottinghamshire.

During Notts’ title-winning 2025 campaign, Hameed notched up 1,258 runs at an average of 66.21 in all formats.

“It’s an absolute delight to sign a new contract with Nottinghamshire, which is a club that means so much to me,” Hameed told the club website., external

“I’m so proud to captain this club, and lifting the Championship trophy in front of our members and fans this year was one of the best moments yet of my career.”
