Dianne Buswell appeared to be feeling a bit emotional as she shared a Strictly Come Dancing update following her sudden exit from the show.
The professional dancer was competing in the BBC One dance contest this year, which got underway in September, alongside Neighbours icon Stefan Dennis.
However, Stefan was forced to pull out of the series on Monday (October 20) after a ‘significant’ injury to his calf.
It came after he was recently struck by illness, which forced him to miss week three of the dance show this month, before he and Dianne made a triumphant return to the ballroom on Saturday (October 18) with a Charleston to Dance Monkey by Tones And I.
Many of judges’ said was the pair’s best dance as they scored 26 out of a possible 40 for the routine, their highest of the competition so far, before making it through to week five of Strictly’s 2025 series during Sunday’s (October 19) results show.
But as mentioned, it was sadly confirmed on Monday (October 20) that Stefan and Dianne’s time on the show had come to a sudden end after a ‘devastated’ Stefan suffered his injury.
Australian actor Stefan confirmed the news on in a statement which read: “This morning I woke up to the most disappointing day of the time in my Strictly journey.
“Just when I had finally gained the confidence to do well with my dancing in the comp and achieve more great dances along the way, I was told that on Saturday I had torn my calf so significantly that I am now forced to withdraw from the show.
“I can’t tell you how devastated I am to have to leave so prematurely especially, as there has been, and still is, so much love and support from everyone for both Dianne and myself.

“I owe both the Strictly family and Dianne a massive debt of gratitude for giving me the opportunity to fulfil my dream of being able to dance with my wife. (When my leg is better).”
It was then on Friday (October 24) ahead of the next live show, which is Strictly’s Icons Week special on Saturday (October 25), that Dianne took to Instagram to share that she was feeling her absence from the show.
Alongside a selfie of her and Stefan, she said wrote alongside a face holding back tears emoji and a red love heart: “Friday studio say was always our face [sad face emojis]. Missing dancing soooo much.”
She also posted a video of her and Stefan taking part in one last Aussie slang game. Alongside the video, Dianne wrote: “Team Aussie had to do one more for you all!
“Also there will be a finale of struth street [their fictional social media soap series] tomorrow 8am set those alarms it’s one you won’t want to miss [crying laughing emojis]. The cliffhanger!!!!”
Strictly co-star Vito Coppola said: “Going to miss you team Aussie,” while Nancy Xu commented on the post: “Love both of you my teammmm.” And fans were quick to respond with the same message.
