UEFA are reportedly expected to lock out around 10,000 fans for the Feyenoord vs Celtic clash next month.

The Hoops take on the Dutch giants at their renowned De Kuip stadium on November 27, the fifth matchday of the Europa League league phase.

Feyenoord took on Bayern Munich in the Champions League last season and were hit with a suspended sentence for lighting pyrotechnic devices.

UEFA warned them that a repeat offence within the next two years would result in a partial stadium closure for one game.

Well, Feyenoord fans repeated that offence in midweek when they hosted Panathinaikos, lighting pyro in the stands while unveiling a banner which read: ‘Welcome To Our Lunatic Asylum’.

As such, UEFA are set to take disciplinary action by reducing Feyenoord’s maximum home crowd capacity by 10,000 for the Celtic game.

That’s according to freelance journalist Mark Walker, who reports that Feyenoord chiefs are already resigned to the punishment coming their way.

De Kuip is famous for its loud and intimidating atmosphere, but it won’t be the same when the Hoops travel to the Netherlands at the end of November.

Feyenoord are 25th in the Europa League table after three games, losing their first two encounters before the victory over the Greeks.

Celtic are just four places above on four points after a draw, defeat and win. The Bhoys beat Sturm Graz on Thursday night to reignite their last 16 qualification hopes.
