The Semi-Final of Ranina 2025 has taken place this evening with six singers competing for three places in the Grand Final.

Following four heats, six singers made it through to this evening’s Semi-Final. The six singers were competing for three places in the Grand Final and their chance to represent Georgia at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025.

The performances were scored by a three-member jury, which consisted of two permanent judges and a guest judge. The permanent judges were Dato Evgenidze and Nato Metonidze and guest judge Buka Kartozia. The judges awarded up to 10 points for each criterion: voice, performance, art and collaboration. In the Semi-Final, the points awarded are not revealed, only which singers made it through to the final.

In the final, which takes place next weekend, the three finalists will again perform for the jury. The jury alone will select the singer that will represent Georgia on home soil at the 23rd Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

Andria Putkaradze won the Junior Eurovision 2024 with “To My Mom”. He scored 239 and received 12 points from 12 national juries. Andria’s victory in Madrid makes Georgia the most successful country in the history of the competition. Georgia made its debut in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2007 and has now won four times.

Georgia has won the contest on four occasions, making it the most successful country in the history of the contest. Georgia debuted in Junior Eurovision in 2007 with Mariam Romelashvili and her song “Odelia Ranuni”, where she placed 4th with 116 points. Their first win was just a year later in 2008, with the trio Bzikebi and their song “Bzz”. Their second win was in 2011 with the group Candy and their song “Candy Music”. Georgia’s third victory came in 2016, when Mariam Mamadashvili performed her song “Mzeo”. Most recently, Andria Putkaradze won in 2024 with “To My Mom”.
