Virat Kohli created history as he returned to form in style during the third ODI between India and Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Saturday (October 25) with a fine half-century after starting the series with two ducks in a row.

With his stunning knock at the SCG, Kohli went past Kumar Sangakkara to become the second-highest run-getter in ODI cricket history. The 36-year-old is only behind Sachin Tendulkar in the elite list of players with most runs in the 50-over format and has ensured that the elite list now has an all-Indian top two.
