Maddie Saunders, who works for the Hendy Group, secured second place in the World Individual Women’s race, adding to a series of international titles.
During the championships, she also became the World Women’s Federation Cup Champion, World Women’s Nations Cup Champion, and World Women’s Best Pairs Champion.

Ms Saunders, who rides for Southampton Cycle Speedway, said: “Competing on home soil was such an incredible experience for me and to be selected to ride in front of a British crowd was a real testament to all the hard work I’ve put in.
“Winning silver at the World Championships made it even more special.”
The Hendy Group supported Ms Saunders by providing her with a Mazda CX-60 to help transport her cycle speedway bike, mountain bike and luggage to multiple races around East Anglia.
She is now focused on earning selection for Team GB at the European Championships next August and hopes to compete in her fourth World Championship.
