Three major supermarkets have issued ‘do not eat’ warnings as they pulled food items from the shelves.

Food products from Aldi, Lidl and Morrisons have been recalled this week.

Urgent alerts were issued by the Food Standards Agency to make shoppers aware of the recalls, which cover various items, from snacks to meat and condiments.

The items have been recalled due to undeclared allergens or possible contamination, the Mirror reports.

One product could also contain ‘small pieces of metal’, which poses a danger if consumed.

You’ll find full details of the four recalled items below.

Lidl GB XXL Sondey Stroopwaffel with Caramel Flavour Filling and Butter

Lidl’s XXL Sondey Stroopwaffel with Caramel Flavour Filling and Butter has been recalled as it may contain small pieces of metal.

The possible presence of metal makes the product unsafe to eat and presents a potential health hazard.

Shoppers have been advised not to consume the item and to take it back to the Lidl branch where it was purchased for a refund.

The 560g packs with a best-before date of November 21, December 2, and December 3 are affected.

Those with a milk allergy or intolerance have been urged to steer clear of Aldi’s Ashfields 30 Day Matured Thin-Cut Beef Steaks, as they were found to contain milk that was not declared on the label.

The packaging error means the product has been deemed potentially unsafe for certain consumers.

Those with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents should return the meat to the store of purchase, where they will receive a refund.

The 360g packs with barcode 4088600554907 and a best before date of October 26 are affected.

Aldi’s PYB02 PANATAS Part-Baked 6 Pack Custard Tarts were being recalled due to undeclared allergens.

The tarts contain egg, milk, and wheat (gluten), and possibly also hazelnuts, sesame, and soya, none of which are listed on the label.

This makes the product a potential health risk for anyone with coeliac disease or an allergy to these ingredients.

Customers should return packs to an Aldi store to get their money back.

Morrisons Savers Salad Cream

Morrisons’ Savers Salad Cream may contain egg and mustard, which are not listed on the label.

This poses a potential health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to the unlisted ingredients.

Customers are advised not to consume it and to return it to their nearest Morrisons store for a refund.

The 420g bottles with batch code L25 122 and a best before of August 2026 are affected.
