Neil Lennon has upset a lot of Celtic supporters after his dispute with Chris Sutton about the Parkhead club’s recruitment on Sky Sports.
The former Celtic boss refused to accept Sutton’s view on Celtic’s summer transfer business as Lennon rejected the notion that the players signed this season are simply not good enough.
Sutton bit back at his former Celtic teammate and Kris Boyd as the former Hoops hero was vindicated after the Bhoys lost 3-1 to Hearts.
And after hearing what Lennon said and looking at his conduct towards his ex-Hoops teammate, Celtic fans are extremely unhappy with the former Parkhead boss.
Celtic fans accuse Neil Lennon of ‘siding with the board’
Sutton appears to have garnered an almost unanimous verdict from the Celtic fans as it seems almost every single one backs him over Lennon after watching their Sky Sports argument at Tynecastle.
Neil Lennon should get the same treatment as the Board anytime he’s near Celtic Park and if you can’t see that you are part of the problem.

@PaddyBhoy1965 took aim at Lenny and said, “Neil Lennon teaming up with Kris Boyd on Sky to try to embarrass Chris Sutton was absolutely cringeworthy.
“Lennon has now officially hit the bottom of the barrel. Siding with the board in a desperate attempt to keep in with them.”

@bhoysviews was unequivocal in his view that Lennon is an admirer of the Celtic board, “No more evidence needed that Neil Lennon is and always has been one of the board’s men.”

Celtic fan @canuseeusnow is dumbfounded at his transfer comments and said, “Neil Lennon, the guy who has failed at every other team outside of Celtic and still couldn’t get the 10.
“If he thinks the transfer business was a success then this shows he’s a Championship manager at best.”
Mentioned last week that NL was clearly still hoping for another gig at Celtic.
Certainly has his acolytes in the support. I ended up having to block 2 fellas.
Whether you’re a fan or not, this conversation highlights just how far removed he is from normal fans. Board lackey🤦 https://t.co/SKDmYTH9Kc

@oranstorrie99 was brutal and said, “He’s deliberately pandering to the Celtic board because they gave him the job when he was totally out his depth.
“I’ll ask you this though, have you ever seen Neil Lennon at Celtic Park as a supporter and not when he’s paid to be there as a pundit?”
Can’t say we have. Celtic fan @Michell46580438 was very balanced in her opinion and said, “I loved Neil Lennon. Everything he went through when he was manager. But he still came back when Brendan Rodgers did a moonlight flit.
“But between the covid season and his constant backing of the board, I feel he needs to give his head a wobble!!!”
With almost 20,000 views, my own view on the matter went a wee bit viral.
Jeezo, @chris_sutton73 needing to hand Neil Lennon his backside on Celtic’s recruitment is superb viewing. Lennon showing how out of touch he is with Celtic fans.

What Chris Sutton actually said about Celtic’s recruitment that cannot be denied
So why has Sutton gotten almost every Celtic supporter on side? It’s because what he said was bang on the money.
Sutton said on Sky Sports, “Why do I think Brendan Rodgers is right? Well, it’s not just me who thinks that, Kris, it’s the whole fan base.
“I mean, it’s everybody in Scotland bar you who doesn’t actually see that it’s the issue [recruitment]. It was the issue at the start of the season.
“Brendan Rodgers talked about his dissatisfaction with the quality of player, which, they lost key players. Didn’t get key players in. And that’s where all the infighting is.
“Did you not did you not watch the Champions League qualifiers? Have you not watched Celtic in Europe? Have you not seen Celtic on a regular basis this season? If you think that is based on a successful transfer window, Neil, quite frankly, you’re miles off.”
