Hello, hello! Georgie here. And I don’t know about you, but after this cycling season I’m in need of a brain wash. It must be offseason! Time to put away the Lycra, let the bike gather dust for a few weeks and venture into areas you’ve otherwise never explored.
Racing … pauses. It’s offseason, baby!
‘Tis the time of the year, that brief time, where professional cyclists can enter the realm of the ‘normies’ (or normal people) for a few weeks. Lycra goes away, and family and friends take top spot on the priority list for the first time that year. Part of this: weddings.
We saw Juliette Labous (FDJ-Suez) tie the knot recently, and is now Juliette Berthet. She married fellow professional cyclist Clément Berthet. Like seems to attract like in this sport. Or is it understanding of the demands? There is probably some truth in that.
