Ipswich Hospital is now managed by Group Nexus who took over from Parking Eye on Monday, October 27.
East Suffolk and North Ipswich NHS Foundation Trust (ESNEFT) confirmed that Parking Eye would no longer be in charge of the management of the car park after their contract expired on Wednesday, October 22.
Since October 21, charges were frozen in all ESNEFT patient and visitor car parks, meaning customers didn’t need to pay for their visits.
That has now run out, and the parking charges have been reinstated, the same as before.
The hospital still offers 30 minutes free parking, the same as before.
New payment machines have been installed at the sites.
ESNEFT said: “There are no other changes being made. All existing parking charges and payment arrangements will stay the same.
“We will also continue to provide 30 minutes free parking and free drop-off zones for our patients and visitors.”
