A behind-the-scenes row on Celebrity Traitors has reportedly come to light after one contestant launched a furious rant against a fellow star.

Ruth Codd is alleged to have branded Jonathan Ross a ‘f***ing snake’ following a tense moment during filming of Celebrity Traitors. The 29 year old actress was said to be “furious” following her murder on the programme.

She reportedly directed her frustration towards host Jonathan, whom she had accurately identified as a Traitor. Ruth had previously suggested there was an “unspoken hierarchy” amongst the cast.

Sources now claim Ruth “really let go of her anger” away from the cameras. Throughout the series so far, none of the Traitors have been exposed, with Jonathan, Cat Burns and Alan Carr continuing to evade detection, reports the Mirror.

“There was definitely frustration from Ruth that her co-stars weren’t listening to her after she correctly identified Jonathan as a Traitor,” an insider revealed. “Ruth felt that not many of the celebrities were following their own instincts and minds, which meant the game wasn’t always played properly.”

“It was a shame for her to be murdered so early in the competition when she had a lot more to give,” they told Daily Mail. Ruth became the third participant to leave the programme after confronting Jonathan during the roundtable discussion.

Ruth was reportedly “angry” that she was eliminated so early on in the game and described the debacle as a “f**king joke”. Since her departure from the programme, Ruth has spoken out about difficulties she encountered behind the scenes.

Ruth proved popular with viewers during her time on the show. Her forthright manner won her many admirers, but it ultimately resulted in her elimination after she voiced concerns about Jonathan.

“There was probably an unspoken hierarchy in there, and that placed certain people like myself at a disadvantage because I haven’t been in the industry very long,” she told The Times.

“Sometimes being a strong woman can be lonely, because you’re branded as aggressive and difficult. I don’t think I’m any of those things. I just speak my mind.”

Ruth’s remarks prompted discussion amongst the programme’s viewers, with some pointing out that Paloma Faith, Tom Daley and Clare Balding were all eliminated, suggesting that being well-known offered no guarantee of survival.

One viewer remarked: “Paloma, Tom and Clare were taken out so that makes no sense.” Others suggested her behaviour on the programme was responsible, claiming she “made herself a threat” by targeting Jonathan Ross.

Niko Omilana has offered his own perspective on the show, describing the celebrity group as the “worst Faithfuls ever”. Taking to his Instagram stories, Niko explained: “The way in which they’re approaching the game is, ‘Oh, it’s Niko, you are a YouTuber, you are gone, you untrustworthy scum.

“One thing which you guys didn’t see was, that roundtable is the most intense thing I’ve ever seen in my life. And, obviously, they have to cut it down for TV and make it shorter, but there were some people going crazy on me.”
