The Celebrity Traitors contestants have done it again and eliminated another Faithful as Good Morning Britain host Kate Garraway was banished on Thursday’s episode following the “murder” of Celia Imrie.

In the penultimate episode of the hit BBC show, Alan Carr and Cat Burns managed to successfully avoid detection from the Faithful and both made it through to next week’s final.

The episode began with a dinner party where Alan Carr “murdered” actor Celia Imrie in plain sight, bringing to an end her amazing run on the show.

When it came to the challenge, the contestants successfully completed a surreal laser beam challenge that involved mannequin heads of former contestants.

At the roundtable, things became heated again when David Olusoga and Kate took aim for each other. However, the cast ultimately voted for Kate, who said she’d had an “amazing game” after “years of being very serious, very sad”.

The episode ended with Claudia Winkleman telling the contestants that there will be no murder tonight, meaning the final is between Alan, Cat, David, Joe Marler and Nick Mohammed.

Interestingly, Joe has sussed out that Alan and Cat are Traitors and has convinced Nick that they are too. Will he manage to convince David? All those questions will be answered in next week’s grand finale.

The Celebrity Traitors returns on Thursday, November 6 at 9pm on BBC One.

Celebrity Traitors fans complain Jonathan Ross has ‘ruined’ series after shining light on fellow Traitors

Here’s another moment that could have exposed Alan and Cat.

On Wednesday’s episode Jonathan Ross became the first Traitor to be banished from the series after three gruelling weeks of the Faithfuls banishing members of their own team by mistake.

Although it was Ross’s fellow traitors Cat Burns and Alan Carr who voted for their accomplice to be banished as suspicions mounted against him, it was Ross who viewers accused of the ultimate betrayal.

Who is in the final?

After Thursday’s episode, we are now less than a week away from the final, which could very well be one of the greatest pieces of TV we see all year.

Following the eliminations of both Celia Imrie and Kate Garraway, there are now just five contestants left.

Here’s a reminder of who’ll be involved:

It’s all to play for, and the stakes and the tension couldn’t be higher.

Celia Imrie wanted to be a Traitor

Acting legend Celia Imrie, who was “murdered” during Wednesday’s episode, has revealed that she actually wanted to play as a Traitor on the gameshow.

Following her elimination, Celia was asked about the initial roundtable where Claudia picks the three Traitors and expressed her regret about not being chosen.

“I did [want to be a Traitor] actually, yes,” she said. “It was heart-stopping and I think everybody stopped breathing. I loved Claudia’s sort of dance around the table of 1,2,3 and then stop.

“We would think she’s stopped, and we would perhaps be working out whereabouts the footsteps were coming from, and at which point they were in the circle.

“I was hoping I would be picked because I childishly thought it was like being picked for the netball team and that she’d think I was good enough to be a Traitor, but immediately afterwards, although I was slightly disappointed, I thought ‘okay, now I’ve got more freedom’, so I didn’t really mind.”
