The Beast in Me
With Homeland boss Howard Gordon on board as showrunner, writer and executive producer, Netflix’s new psychological thriller also sees him reunited with Clare Danes. “She really has that uniquely rare ability to convey the most interior thoughts, and you know what’s going on inside her,” he told Tudum. “There’s a fierce intelligence, but there’s also her vulnerability. She really conveys that.”
The Beast in Me introduces acclaimed author Aggie Wiggs (played by Danes), who is a shell of her former self after the tragic death of her young son. But when real estate mogul Nile Jarvis (Matthew Rhys) moves in next door, she’s inspired for the subject of a new book – he also happens to be a prime suspect in his wife’s disappearance.
