Article contentCUTS OUR ONLY HOPE
How is it that a country that is blessed with untold wealth in natural resources has become a money-eating machine that devours everything in its path and looks for more?
Article content
Our left-leaning citizens who think our ever-increasing social programs are the answer are about to face some cold, hard realities, and it’s going to hurt like heck.
Yes, pipelines and natural resources development will help, but we need to get back to basics when it comes to spending or it will be gobbled up by the machine and nothing will change.
The only answer is cut, cut and cut some more.
It is better to lose a foot or leg than to let a deadly infection continue to grow.

TRUMP NOT BIGGEST THREAT
Re: Canada needs bold, decisive leadership for better future, John Snobelen column, Oct. 25
I couldn’t agree with the above headline more, but we will never get that leadership under the Liberals, no matter who is at the helm.

Our biggest threat isn’t Donald Trump (he isn’t responsible for the mess this country’s in), it’s our own government. Continued failed policies, ignoring the needs of Canadians and prioritizing pie-in-the-sky projects in other countries, along with working against our economy, are what the last 10 years of Liberal governments, including Mark Carney’s, have brought us.
Aligning ourselves closer to China will not bode well for Canada … Carney is selling us out, just like Justin Trudeau did.
If Canadians want to keep our country, then the Liberals need to be gone and common sense needs to be brought in.

LET FEDS TO THE TALKING
I see Premier Doug Ford has stepped in you know what again. For premiers like Ford, Danielle Smith or David Eby, we have a federal government to represent Canada on the international stage. Anything you have to say or want should be expressed to the prime minister and his government. Let’s be honest. Canada is not dealing from a position of power when it comes to the United States. We know it and they certainly know it. But apparently you don’t.
To quote either the Bible, Proverbs 11:12-13, or maybe the rock group The Four Seasons, Silence is Golden!
