Drew McIntyre is in a chirpy mood these days.

The Scottish Warrior has gotten an edge over his Saturday Night’s Main Event opponent, Cody Rhodes, on consecutive SmackDown episodes, leaving the latter laid out.

The contract signing between the two stars on the latest taping of the blue brand got personal when McIntyre goaded The American Nightmare by referencing his daughters.

Rhodes attacked the 40-year-old and tried to hit him with his Undisputed WWE Championship, like he had done a couple of weeks ago, but McIntyre evaded it.

As Cody Rhodes and SmackDown GM Nick Aldis stood in the ring talking, Drew McIntyre emerged again and hit the champion with a Claymore Kick before putting him through a table.

It remains to be seen if Rhodes arrives at 100% health for their title match on November 1.

Elsewhere, McIntyre recalled one of the worst moments of his career, which involved a boxing legend.

Drew McIntyre Wants To Fight Tyson Fury

Drew McIntyre and Tyson Fury are well-known names in the United Kingdom despite belonging to different countries.

The two shared a special moment at the 2022 WWE Clash at the Castle, where the Scot lost to Roman Reigns after an interference from Solo Sikoa.

Noticing that the Welsh crowd was on the verge of rioting, the duo acknowledged each other’s accomplishment before serenading them with ‘American Pie’ by Don McLean and ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’ by Oasis to diffuse the situation.

Recalling the incident during a SPORTbible interview, McIntyre expressed his desire to ‘knock Fury’s head into next week.’

Maybe it was that little song, right there, my angelic voice, was heard by Noel and Liam, maybe they were inspired and thought, ‘You know what? We need to get back together, lads. Let’s reunite the band, because Drew was just so inspiring in that sing-along right there.’

I don’t believe there was anything planned after that with Tyson. There was conversations, as far as I know. I wasn’t privy to them.

But I’d be happy to knock the big dosser’s head into next week. I’ve always said that. What’s he going to do when he’s on his back? [H/T: SPORTbible]
