Chelsea legend Joe Cole has been speaking about what Arsenal could win in the 2025/26 season.
At the start of the season, Cole predicted that Arsenal would finish fourth in the Premier League table, a prediction that has dramatically changed.
Having watched ten games pass in the Premier League, the former Chelsea midfielder now thinks the Gunners could win the league.
There has been a lot of talk about Arsenal’s similarities to Chelsea’s 2004/05 squad, a side that Cole was a part of, winning the Premier League and holding the best defensive record in the competition’s history.

Arsenal could break Chelsea’s defensive record this season, but it would mean that the Gunners would have to concede fewer than 12 league goals in the remaining 28 games.
It seems impossible, though Cole thinks that Arsenal are at that level, having played in Jose Mourinho’s record-breaking squad.
Speaking on talkSPORT, the Englishman likened Arsenal’s current defensive strength to Chelsea’s record-breakers.
“They just look impenetrable, and I think it’s starting to play in the mindset of opposition teams now, and that’s what we had at Chelsea,” Cole said.
“People just didn’t think they could score against us, and I think Arsenal have now got that.”
The pundit couldn’t hide the fact that he’s worried about what the Gunners could achieve this season, saying that it pains him to say that he thinks Arsenal could win a Premier League and Champions League double.
“I’m a little bit concerned, to be honest. I think Arsenal will win the league and maybe the Champions League as well. I really think they’re brilliant and that’s really hard for me to say.”
Not everyone will agree with Cole, as Toni Kroos laughed at the idea of Arsenal winning the Champions League upon hearing that the Gunners are favourites to go all the way.

Kroos laughed, but just how feasible is it to envisage Arsenal winning this season’s Champions League?
After the win over Atletico Madrid, Opta’s supercomputer raised Arsenal’s chances of winning the trophy to 20.47%, making them the tournament favourites.

It’s a similar situation in the Premier League rankings, as after the Gunners’ win against Burnley on matchday ten, Arsenal’s chances of winning the league rose to an eye-catching 71.00%.
Right now, Arsenal are projected to finish on 81 points, 11 clear of Manchester City and 12 of Liverpool.
If Cole is worried now, his concern might only grow as the season progresses if Arsenal can keep up their tremendous run of form.
