GB News has been crowned Britain’s number one news channel for the fourth month in a row.
Latest official BARB ratings reveal the People’s Channel soundly beat both the BBC News Channel and Sky News in October, just as it did in July, August, and September.
October was a frenetic month for news, with rising audiences turning to GB News for the sharpest takes on the day’s biggest stories.
The channel’s journalists led the way on the major stories like the Prince Andrew scandal, the Uxbridge murder, and the manhunt for migrant sex offender Hadush Kebatu.
The results, drawn from the industry’s official BARB ratings for October 2025, track total audience share and average views.
They reveal that between 6am and 2am, GB News saw average views rise by five per cent, increasing from 87.82k to 91.56k (a 1.47 per cent share).
That’s well ahead of the BBC News Channel, which fell four per cent in October to 81.82k (a 1.31 per cent share) from 84.77k the previous month.
Sky News also saw a decline, dropping nearly five per cent month-on-month to 69.91k (a 1.12 per cent share) from 73.30k in September.
Ben Briscoe, GB News Head of Programming and Talent, said: “GB News is coming out on top month after month because we are delivering the best and boldest coverage on TV, radio and online.
“These figures also underline how more and more viewers are now turning to GB News on the biggest stories making us their home for breaking news.
“I’m proud of our team who work tirelessly every day to provide a voice to those ignored by the establishment media.”
GB News’ ratings success comes as the channel embarks on an exciting global expansion.
In September, it launched The Late Show Live, a brand-new two-hour nightly show broadcast directly from Washington, DC.
The programme, hosted Monday to Thursday by Bev Turner and at weekends by Ben Leo, adds an extra 14 hours of live programming to GB News’ winning schedule.
The People’s Channel also launched in Israel last month, a landmark move extending its international reach.
It is now available nationwide on Cellcom TV, one of Israel’s largest television platforms.
In August, GB News launched on Truth+, the TV streaming platform gaining traction across the United States.
Available as part of the free basic package, GB News can now be viewed worldwide via Truth+ apps on iOS, Android, web, and connected TVs, including Apple TV, Android TV, Amazon Fire, and Roku.
As part of its long-term vision, GB News remains committed to providing free, mass-reach broadcasting for all of Britain, ensuring the channel continues to serve the public and represent voices from every corner of the nation.
