Baba Indrajith’s 77 not out, along with useful knocks from Shahrukh Khan and Mohamed Ali, helped Tamil Nadu avert a defeat against Vidarbha, who took the first-innings lead. Following on, and with a big deficit, Tamil Nadu started the day at 6 for 0 in their second innings. Opener Athish SR scored 46 but the rest of the top order failed to hang around as Tamil Nadu slipped to 47 for 3. Indrajith then put on half-century stands with Athish, Shahrukh and Ali as Tamil Nadu entered the lead late in the day, finishing with 233 for 6 as the match ended in a draw.
