Huddersfield Giants

Huddersfield Giants have confirmed the release of winger Elliot Wallis as preparations begin for the 2026 Super League season.

A statement released by the club stated Wallis has left the club by mutual consent in a decision that brings an end to his two-year spell at the Giants.

Wallis joined the Giants ahead of the 2024 Super League campaign and made 17 appearances in his first season in claret and gold. He scored seven tries that year, too, in what was his most prolific stint as a player.

However, he made just three outings for the Giants this year, with his last outing as a Giant coming in February against Leigh Leopards. He joined Leeds Rhinos on loan for a period but he couldn’t force his way into Brad Arthur’s plans and eventually left without making a first-team appearance.

And, it was announced in August that he had joined Castleford Tigers on loan for the remainder of the campaign. He made six appearances under Chris Chester with a try coming in the win over Wakefield Trinity in September.

Ultimately, though, after leaving Huddersfield he will now be looking for a fresh opportunity with a new club.

Huddersfield Giants release Elliot Wallis

A statement released by the Giants read: “Huddersfield Giants can confirm that Elliot Wallis has left the club by mutual consent.

“The winger who scored 8 tries in 20 games for the Giants, will depart the club to take up a new challenge, we wish Elliot the very best of luck in the future, and thank him for his contribution to the club.”

The 25-year-old started his career with Hull KR but after making just five first-team appearances, he left the club to join Coventry Bears in 2021. He earned another Super League shot with Castleford in 2022, joining the club on trial before earning a deal with the West Yorkshire outfit.

He made 13 appearances during his two seasons at Wheldon Road and ultimately, he impressed enough to earn a move to Huddersfield.
