Mountbatten Nursing Home, located on Trull Road, opened its doors on October 9, 2000, and has since expanded to accommodate 30 residents.
Richard Brice, who, along with his wife Sally, is a joint owner and proprietor, said: “When we first started Mountbatten we had 22 bedrooms.
“Since then, with extensions to the lounge and conservatory and additional building, we now have 30 rooms.
“Twenty-five years on and we are still going strong.
“One of the main reasons behind the success of Mountbatten is that we have got a team of very hard-working and long-serving members of staff who together help us to deliver the high-quality level of care that Mountbatten prides itself on.
“Every one of our residents has individual needs, and we do our very best to meet their demands and make everyone feel at home.”
The home recently hosted a Macmillan coffee morning, raising £470, and celebrated the 100th birthday of resident Betty Jackson with a staff party.
